Overlooking our breathtaking vineyards and the surrounding mountains, our tasting room was the setting for a truly meaningful occasion: a masterclass honoring our Falerio DOC Avora.This event was particularly special as it celebrated the 50th anniversary of the denomination's establishment
The masterclass was expertly led by Pietro Russoan esteemed Master of Wine and one of very few Italians to hold this distinguished title.What made this moment truly remarkable was that it was the first time ever an MW had visited the the Piceno regionHis decision to accept our invitation and lend his expertise to our wine and territory filled us with profound emotion and gratitude.

What an incredible journey the masterclass was, exploring the globe's most revered blends:Champagne, Rioja, Pessac-Léognan, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, and Etna. These aren't just wines; they're liquid legends, embodying centuries of tradition, rich culture, and unmistakable identity.
Taking its rightful place beside these global icons, for a truly illuminating tasting, were the cherished older vintages of Avora, our Falerio DOC territory. crafted from north-facing vineyards that are carefully hand-harvested, thriving in a soil uniquely enriched with ancient marine fossils.
Seeing our wine stand proudly alongside these global masterpieces was truly one of the most powerful and emotional moments in our journey.
It was incredibly gratifying, and honestly quite impactful, to see so many journalists and wine professionals participate with such genuine interest. Their presence, their insightful comments, and their visible emotion truly confirmed for us that Falerio can indeed hold a central place in the contemporary Italian wine landscape.
Watching our father, Giancarlo, filled with emotion as Falerio was spoken of with such respect and embraced with such genuine attention, swelled our hearts with pride. It reignited our daily commitment and strengthened our belief in this exceptional wine and this extraordinary land.
Avora: Our Falerio, Our Story of the Land.
Avora takes its name from the local dialect, signifying vineyardsa bora,meaning north-facing. These are ancient vines, meticulously hand-harvested, embraced by a small forest at their base, and overlooking a breathtaking panorama that unites rolling hills and majestic mountains.
The microclimate of this vineyard is truly special: its north-facing exposure and significant temperature variations bless us with wines that are exceptionally fresh, profound, and long-lived.
Within the soil itself, we often discover pieces of travertine infused with marine fossils,a tangible memory of a time when the sea once embraced these very hills.
Every vintage of Avora tells its own unique story, yet all share a common thread: the authentic identity of the Falerio DOC territory..
